Richard Mettler, an experienced Creative Film Editor, has developed a notable career in both advertising and cinema. He brings his technical skills and creative insights to a wide array of post-production projects around the globe.

In the advertising industry, Richard's editorial portfolio includes campaigns for well-known brands such as Samsung, Volkswagen, Cartier, Lexus, Dior, and Calvin Klein. He has worked alongside agencies like TBWA, Saatchi & Saatchi, Grey, JWT, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy, Publicis, Merkley, and McCann, contributing to the visual storytelling of these campaigns.

Richard’s editing work extends to the film industry, where he has collaborated on various projects. His work with director Sean Ellis on "Anthropoid," starring Cillian Murphy and Jamie Dornan, led to a “Best Editing” nomination at the Czech Lion Awards. He also contributed to "Metro Manila," which garnered multiple awards including the Sundance “World Cinema Dramatic Audience Award.” His filmography includes editing roles in “The Cursed”, “I.S.S.”, “The Secrets We Keep”, and the reboot of “Jacob’s Ladder”. His latest involvement was “Desert Warrior”, directed by Rupert Wyatt, as both picture editor and associate producer. Richard is represented by UTA for motion picture projects in the US and UK.

Richard's experience also encompasses music videos, where his work on “Backstabber”, directed by Laurent Chanez, earned him a nomination at the “UK Music Video Award” for his editorial and sound design efforts.

Prior to his film editing career, Richard was engaged in the music industry, producing tracks and touring as a keyboard player across Europe. His early experiences in Paris, especially growing up in the culturally rich area of Pigalle, shaped his artistic perspective.

With dual citizenship in the US and the EU, Richard brings a diverse and culturally informed viewpoint to his work. His journey from Paris to the international film scene highlights a commitment to his craft and a consistent contribution to the fields of filmmaking.
